A Legacy Built On Home

For Catina, giving back is an extension of the same values that guide her work with clients: stewardship, long-term thinking, and a belief that the right support can change the trajectory of a family’s future. Her commitment to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is especially personal. Catina’s mother, Joyce, understood the uncertainty of housing instability and the importance of having a safe, stable place to call home. After Joyce passed away, Catina used proceeds from her mother’s life insurance, along with a meaningful personal donation of her own, to provide the initial seed money for a Habitat for Humanity home — turning a family legacy into a lasting investment in affordable homeownership.

 What began as one deeply meaningful home build has grown into a broader community effort led by Catina and supported by clients, colleagues, friends, and family. After the first fundraising goal was surpassed, Catina committed to continuing the work by providing seed funding for future Habitat home-building efforts as well. Through volunteer build days, charitable giving, and her ongoing partnership with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, Catina is helping create more opportunities for local families to experience the safety, stability, and dignity of a place to call home. This work reflects the heart of the team’s approach: investing in people, building long-term relationships, and using success as a way to strengthen families and communities for generations to come.
